Film Credit Sequences

Get Out
The credit sequences of this film included the production companies from this film. The production companies were 'Universal Pictures', 'Blumhouse Productions', and 'QC Entertainment'. Blumhouse Productions is very well known for their horror movies as they were made to produce those types of films, so, we can conclude (if we were just watching the opening without knowing the movie we were watching), that this film would fall under the genre of horror. Then, right after the film opening, we can finally conclude that this movie falls under the genre of horror/mystery and then the credits start to show. It begins with saying the Universal Pictures presents us with a Blumhous Production. So, it show us the distribution company then shows us the television production company right after. Right after that, it also shows the other production company it worked with and then revealed that it was a Jordan Peele film. You can conclude that he is either a top actor or the director of this film, but in this case, he is both. It also includes the title with a big bolded and colorful font after showing the audience these credits.

The Sixth Sense
The film opens with a shaky filming of 'Hollywood Pictures' with no sound, giving the incentative that this film might contain an eerie feel. Then, with no sound again, it shows 'Spyglass Entertainment' and includes a credit saying "Hollywood Pictures and Spyglass Entertainment present" and then "A Kennedy/Marshall/Barry Mendell Production". After this, it displays just a name: 'Bruce Willis' which is one of the actors in the movie who is very well-known as an actor in general. As soon as his name fades and the title of the movie fades in, very creepy music starts, giving almost a jump scare with sound since we had none before. This prepares the audience to view a haunting movie.

The Visit
This film is a bit out of my genre since it is also a thriller, but it is also considered horror. This film also worked with 'Universal Pictures', as it was shown, but it also worked with 'Blumhouse Productions' as well as 'Blinding Edge Pictures'. It then does a similar thing as what the credits from the movie 'Get Out' did since Universal Pictures presents the movie as a production under Blumhouse Productions and Blinding Edge Pictures. A woman starts talking in the background almost immediately after the credit scenes rolled in and then it shows 'An M. Night Shyamaln Film' giving the name of the producer. After the credits, it immediately cuts to show the woman talking. This can create a sort of comforting tone but since there was no music to be paired with the things the woman was talking about, it can also seem very creepy. After the film's opening, it displays the title with the same black background the credits were displayed with with a big bolded, red font.

So, from these film opening I gathered that I probably need to make my own distribution company or film production company to make it look more authentic and then I will need to include the director/producer, which would be me, and then maybe the top actors that star in my film opening.
